Almost every charter we run leaves from here, and it is not in the hotel zone. Ten minutes of reading now saves a stressful morning.
Marina Marazul (you will also see it written Mar Azul) sits on Avenida Puerto Juárez, on the west side of the bay — the mainland side facing Isla Mujeres. It is not in the hotel zone. That trips up a lot of visitors who assume every boat leaves from the lagoon.
From the north hotel zone and the Costa Mujeres resorts it is five to ten minutes. From the middle of the hotel zone, closer to twenty-five.
Route 1 — the simple one. Take Avenida Bonampak all the way to the end, then take the Puerto Juárez turn-off. Follow it in and you are on Avenida Puerto Juárez.
Route 2 — via the Portillo bridge. On Bonampak, turn right at the Portillo bridge. This drops you into Puerto Juárez from the other side, and you will pass a sequence of landmarks in this order:
Those four in that order are the best confirmation you are on the right stretch of road. If you reach UltraMar and stop, you are at the ferry, not the marina — keep going.
Being straight with you: the marina does not have its own private parking. There is a small lot nearby, and it is mostly occupied by the vans waiting for charter guests.
You can usually find somewhere to leave a car — it is a matter of looking around a bit — but on a busy morning it is a hassle you do not need before a seven-hour day on the water. Our honest recommendation is not to bring your own car.
Straightforward from anywhere in Cancún. Ask for Marina Marazul, Puerto Juárez — not just "Puerto Juárez", or you may be dropped at the ferry terminal. Agree the fare before you get in, as always in Cancún.

Pickup is from your hotel lobby, and for large groups we stagger the pickups so boarding is not chaos. Tell us where your group is staying when you request your charter quote and we will price the transport in the same message.
Aim to be at the marina about thirty minutes before your departure time. Boarding a group of fourteen is quick; boarding a hundred and forty for the Imperial 68 genuinely takes a while, which is why the sailing window on the big boats is shorter than the door-to-door day.
We send a location pin and boarding instructions once your charter is confirmed. If you are lost on the morning, call the WhatsApp number — someone at the marina will answer.
